The spreader features pneumatic tyres, which serve two important purposes: they absorb vibration and reduce ground compaction on established lawns, and they make it considerably easier to manoeuvre over uneven terrain without the spreader bouncing or losing its application consistency.

The enclosed gearing protects the drive mechanism from contamination by fertiliser granules or seed, which can cause clogging and premature wear in open-geared alternatives.
